Enrollment in an Undergraduate Program for the First Time


In order to enroll in one of our majors, you must meet the following general requirements:

  • Have earned a high school or secondary school diploma, or its equivalent* in the case of having studied abroad.

  • Have presented the Saber 11 State Exam (Icfes). During the admissions process, the exam results for each area will be validated.


Taking into consideration Article 4, Decree 869 of March 17, 2010, "Recognition of Exams submitted abroad. The Colombian Institute for the Evaluation of Education (Instituto Colombiano para la Evaluación de la Educación) - Icfes - may recognize the candidates who have obtained a secondary school diploma in other countries as well as the validity of exams presented abroad which are similar to the State Examination of Secondary Education, according to the procedure that Icfes establishes for this matter".

In accordance with the above, please consult below to verify that the exam submitted in your country is equivalent to the State Examination of Secondary Education in Colombia:


Applicants to programs in Arts, Film, Literary Creation, Music Studies and Social Work must take into account that, once registered, they will be called to take a specific field test. For more information, go to Selection.


Steps to Follow

In this section you will find all the information and steps that you must follow in order to enroll in one of our undergraduate programs, graduate certificate programs, or graduate programs for the first time.


Step 1.


The process of admission to a major program begins with the completion of the registration form. Before starting, make sure you have the results of your Saber 11 exam (Icfes) on hand.

Step 2.


After completing the form and paying the application fee, the Admissions Committee of the University will conduct a strict evaluation process in order to determine if you meet the requirements and the academic level necessary to be admitted to the academic program you are applying to.

It is important to highlight that selection and admission is carried out under the principles of fairness and transparency. These processes follow clear rules with respect to inequality, discrimination, and arbitrariness. Likewise, admission is subject to the number of spots established by each department together with the Academic Vice-Rectory.

If you apply to Performing Arts, Film, Literary Creation, Music Studies or Social Work, you must also submit a specific test to demonstrate that you have the necessary talent, skills, and aptitudes to enroll in the corresponding program. Below, you will find information on what these tests consist of.

Step 3.


Once you verify that you have been admitted, pay the registration fee within the dates established by the university. This can be done by any of the following means:
